Egis is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Modeler - Mechanical to join its growing team in Bengaluru, India.
The role focuses on creating, managing, and coordinating detailed Building Information Models with a focus on mechanical systems.
The modeler works collaboratively with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery and high BIM documentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive BIM models for mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, equipment, and related infrastructure.
- Perform detailed 3D modeling and visualization of mechanical systems using industry-standard BIM software.
- Conduct clash detection and resolution between mechanical systems and other building disciplines.
- Coordinate with MEP teams to ensure accurate integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Create and manage technical documentation, construction drawings, and specifications from BIM models.
- Establish and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to support project timelines and deliverables.
- Analyze complex mechanical systems and provide technical recommendations for optimization.
- Mentor junior BIM modelers and provide guidance on modeling techniques and standards.
- Ensure all BIM deliverables comply with project requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide regular updates on model status and progress.
Required Skills and Experience
- 4+ years of professional experience in BIM modeling with a focus on mechanical systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP or equivalent BIM modeling software.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, including HVAC, piping, and equipment layout.
- Demonstrated expertise in 3D modeling, visualization, and technical documentation.
- Experience with clash detection and MEP coordination workflows.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and BIM protocols.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Autodesk Revit certification or equivalent professional credential.
- Experience with Navisworks or other coordination software.
- Knowledge of Dynamo scripting or BIM automation tools.
- Experience with project management and coordination software.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience with junior team members.
- Familiarity with Indian building codes and construction standards.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
