Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and data requirements; translate them into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and data specifications.
- Identify required data and map business concepts to source data and target structures.
- Document business rules and transformation, validation, quality and traceability rules; assess source-data availability, quality and suitability.
- Collaborate on data models, consumption layers and BI solutions, maintaining visibility of flows from source systems to analytical outputs.
- Facilitate stakeholder analysis, mapping and validation workshops; collaborate with product, development, data, architecture, BI and source-system teams.
- Support functional validation, acceptance testing and issue resolution; maintain actionable documentation for delivery and support.
Required qualifications
- Approximately 5–7 years in BI analysis, data analysis, functional analysis or business analysis.
- Very good SQL skills and ability to analyze large data volumes; experience with Power BI, Tableau or another visualization and analysis solution.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT, integration, transformation, data quality, traceability and conceptual, logical and physical data models.
- Experience in modern data environments and in an Agile, Scrum, Kanban or SAFe environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, administration or analytics, or equivalent experience.
- Able to work independently in client-facing settings; strong communication, facilitation, consultancy, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual in French and English.
Additional technical strengths
- Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Synapse, Databricks or Snowflake knowledge is cited; AWS or other cloud data platforms are also cited.
- SQL Server, T-SQL, views, stored procedures or query optimization experience is cited.
- Star schemas, Data Vault, data marts or data products; documenting As-Is and To-Be processes.
- Retail, distribution, logistics or shared-services experience and preparing data for BI, advanced analytics or AI use cases are cited.
