Job Summary:
The Beam Saw Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining beam saw machinery to cut wood panels, MDF, plywood, laminates, and other materials according to production requirements and technical drawings. The role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all cutting operations within the joinery or manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate beam saw machine to cut materials as per cutting lists, shop drawings, and specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting plans, and measurements
• Set up the machine, including blade adjustments, alignment, and calibration
• Ensure maximum material utilization and minimize wastage
• Load and unload materials safely onto the machine
• Inspect finished cut pieces for accuracy, dimensions, and quality
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine
• Identify and report any machine faults or maintenance issues
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Maintain proper records of production output and material usage
• Coordinate with supervisors, designers, and other operators to meet production targets

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Beam Saw Operator in joinery, woodworking, or manufacturing
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and cutting lists
• Knowledge of different materials such as MDF, plywood, veneer, and laminates
• Familiarity with machine controls, programming (CNC beam saw is an advantage)
• Good understanding of safety practices in a workshop environment
• Physical ability to handle heavy materials and stand for long hours
• Basic math and measurement skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CNC beam saw machines
• Knowledge of optimization software for cutting plans
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Teamwork and communication skills
