The role supports bar operations at a high-volume fine dining venue in DIFC.
The barback helps maintain cleanliness, restocks beverages and supplies, and assists bartenders during service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver beverages to members and guests in accordance with department standard operating procedures.
- Participate in creating cocktails and assist with developing the bar drink list.
- Maintain efficient, consistent service flow and meet service standards during service periods.
- Handle minor complaints professionally and courteously.
- Prepare bar equipment and other items needed for service and ensure they are available.
- Minimize beverage wastage and keep assigned stock secure.
What the employer is looking for
- Have at least two years of experience in the same or a similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Have an excellent level of spoken and written English.
- Have strong organizational and time-management skills and a high degree of flexibility.
- Have excellent communication and listening skills.
- Demonstrate integrity and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Be able to work long shifts and stand for extended periods.
