Role summary
Prepare healthy, low-calorie, vegetarian Western-style bakery products to high standards of taste, quality, freshness, and presentation.
Support restaurant and special-event menu development.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare breads, rolls, buns, cakes, and other healthy, low-calorie, vegetarian Western-style bakery items.
- Maintain consistent taste, quality, freshness, and presentation; develop new healthy bakery products and recipes.
- Support menu development for the restaurant and special events, using fresh and organic farm products where appropriate.
- Maintain proper food preparation, storage, hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Monitor ingredients and stock, minimize wastage, and work with the kitchen and restaurant team to support smooth daily operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bakery Chef or in a similar position.
- Good knowledge of Western bakery products and techniques; experience with healthy, low-calorie, and vegetarian bakery products is preferred.
- Creative approach to developing new recipes and products.
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment, with good teamwork and communication skills.
