- **Pack and transport**
- delicate baked items securely to event venues.
- **Set up and maintain**
- pastry stations or dessert buffets on-site. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Quality & Inventory Management
- **Inspect ingredient quality**
- to ensure consistency across all baked goods.
- **Monitor inventory levels**
- and order baking supplies and packaging materials as needed.
- **Develop new recipes**
- or seasonal menu items to match culinary trends and catering requests.
Sanitation & Safety
- **Maintain a clean**
- and organized baking workspace.
- **Adhere to strict food safety**
- and sanitation guidelines, such as HACCP, at all times.
- **Operate and maintain**
- bakery equipment safely, including mixers, proofers, and ovens.
Requirements & Qualifications
- **Proven experience**
- as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or in a similar role in a high-volume commercial, hospitality, or catering environment.
- **In-depth knowledge**
- of baking techniques, pastry arts, and ingredient properties.
- **Strong organizational**
- and time management skills to handle multiple event orders.
- **Physical stamina**
- to stand for long hours and lift heavy items (e.g., flour bags, trays).
- **Certification in food safety**
- (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP) is highly preferred.
