Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• **Financial Management**
• : Manage the daily financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• **Budgeting & Forecasting**
• : Assist in creating and maintaining financial forecasts, operating budgets, and monthly financial reporting, with a focus on cost control and profitability in catering operations.
• **Invoice Processing**
• : Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices related to catering events, vendor payments, and client billings.
• **Cost Tracking**
• : Monitor and track food, labor, and supply costs to ensure efficient use of resources and profitability for catering services.
• **Financial Reporting**
• : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for management review.
• **Tax Compliance**
• : Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, preparing and submitting any necessary tax filings.
• **Vendor Management**
• : Maintain records of payments, resolve discrepancies with suppliers, and manage relationships with vendors.
• **Bank Reconciliation**
• : Reconcile bank statements and cash balances regularly to ensure accurate financial records.
• **Audit Preparation**
• : Assist in the preparation for audits by providing required documentation and reports.
• **Inventory Control**
• : Collaborate with the inventory team to track and manage stock levels, ensuring that purchases are in line with catering demand and budget.
• **Regulatory Compliance**
• : Ensure adherence to all relevant financial laws and regulations in the UAE, including VAT and payroll taxes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional qualification).
• Previous accounting experience, ideally in the hospitality or catering industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams.

Preferred

• Experience with catering-specific financial operations (e.g., event billing, menu pricing, vendor management).
• Knowledge of UAE tax laws, payroll regulations, and VAT practices.
