Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians with testing and inspecting backflow prevention assemblies
  • Help maintain, repair, and replace backflow assemblies and related components
  • Learn to identify failed assemblies and the repairs they need
  • Help complete accurate test reports and service documentation
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members
  • Represent Fraser Valley Fire Protection respectfully at customer sites
  • Follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations on every job

Requirements

  • Demonstrated technical ability
  • Experience with tools, construction, or maintenance
  • Interest in a career in sprinkler fitting, hydrant service, or fire protection
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to do physical work, including lifting equipment, working in confined or awkward spaces, and working at a variety of job sites
