Backend Engineer — AI-Driven Development (CTRM Platform)

Technology stack

• Backend technologies include Node.js and Python; frontend uses React; data storage uses Postgres; delivery stack includes Docker and CI/CD.
• The role requires strong Node.js and/or Python, solid SQL, and comfort with Docker and CI/CD.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Design services, data models, APIs, and transaction boundaries from specified requirements.
• Identify specification gaps and translate requirements into precise, verifiable task briefs for coding agents.
• Maintain agent context, coding conventions, architectural guardrails, and test policy.
• Review every code change for data modeling, transaction and concurrency semantics, errors, migrations, security, and performance.
• Write and maintain behavior-focused tests, particularly for money, rounding, dates, and state machines.
• Refactor generated code that does not fit the overall system and deliver in two-week sprints against defined readiness and completion criteria.

What the role requires

• At least seven years building and operating production backend systems.
• AI-driven development as an established workflow, including production features delivered by directing coding agents and the ability to explain context, task decomposition, cost control, and verification.
• Strong Node.js and/or Python, solid SQL, and comfort with Docker and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of domain modeling, relational data, transaction and consistency semantics, idempotency, concurrency, APIs, testing, and refactoring.
• Ability to reason quickly about unfamiliar code written by others; strong Git, code review, and Agile delivery habits.
• Willingness to work with complex financial and logistics logic; business proficiency in Russian.
