Role Overview
Forsyth Barnes is supporting a confidential client with the hire of an advanced Azure specialist to support a cloud modernisation project focused on Infrastructure as Code, DevOps and Azure-native services.
This person will work across modern infrastructure delivery, containerisation, AKS and DevOps-led cloud practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of modern Azure infrastructure solutions
- Work on Infrastructure as Code initiatives
- Support containerisation and AKS-related projects
- Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams
- Help modernise existing cloud infrastructure and deployment processes
- Support GitHub / DevOps workflows across infrastructure delivery
- Provide hands-on technical guidance across Azure components
Key Requirements
- Advanced hands-on experience with Azure
- Strong experience with AKS / Azure Kubernetes Service
- Experience with containerisation
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with GitHub and DevOps practices
- Strong knowledge of Azure components and cloud-native infrastructure
- Ability to work independently on modernisation-focused projects
- 5–6+ years’ relevant Azure / DevOps / cloud infrastructure experience
Beneficial Experience
- Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates
- CI/CD pipelines
- Azure DevOps
- Cloud infrastructure automation
- Previous large enterprise or government-sector experience
