Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Automotive Painter based in Al Sajaa.
The Automotive Painter will prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming panels and body parts according to manufacturer and workshop standards.
Responsibilities include mixing and matching paint colors, applying base coats, clear coats, and refinishes in spray booths, and ensuring smooth, high-quality finishes on a variety of vehicle makes, especially luxury and performance brands.
The role involves inspecting completed work, performing touch-ups as needed, and coordinating with body technicians and service advisors to meet quality and delivery timelines.
The Automotive Painter will also maintain tools and spray equipment, follow safety and environmental regulations, and complete basic job documentation related to repairs and paint processes.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in surface preparation, sanding, masking, priming, and paint application for automotive bodywork.
- Experience in color matching, paint mixing, and use of spray guns and spray booths for high-end and luxury vehicles.
- Knowledge of automotive body repair processes and collaboration with body technicians to achieve factory-level finishes.
- Understanding of safety procedures, PPE use, and environmental regulations related to paints, solvents, and hazardous materials.
- Attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to inspect and correct imperfections in paintwork.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, job cards, and basic technical instructions in English.
- Previous experience as an automotive painter or refinish technician in a workshop, dealership, or body shop environment.
- Vocational training, trade certificate, or equivalent qualification in automotive painting or body repair is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team, manage time effectively, and adapt to a fast-paced workshop setting.
