Job Summary
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Audio Visual Technician located in Abu Dhabi.
We are looking for an experienced
AV Technician
to join our educational institution.
The role involves supporting, maintaining, and managing audio-visual (AV) equipment and systems used in classrooms, auditoriums, and other learning spaces.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and experience transforming AV spaces with modern solutions, including AI-driven tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement AV solutions for classrooms, boardrooms, and auditoriums.
- Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment, including projectors, sound systems, microphones, video conferencing tools, smartboards, and lighting systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Transform AV spaces with innovative technologies and AI solutions.
- Work collaboratively with staff, students, and external vendors.
- Lead and guide AV teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure all AV systems follow safety standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, IT, Media Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience as an AV Technician, preferably in education or corporate settings.
- Hands-on experience operating, repairing, and troubleshooting audio and video systems.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with AV equipment: sound systems, projectors, microphones, video conferencing tools, smartboards, etc.
- Familiarity with AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, or AMX is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure related to AV systems.
- Ability to design and implement AV setups independently.
