Monitor cybersecurity solutions, triage alerts, and support swift incident response.
The role focuses on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of security detectors.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cybersecurity solutions and SIEM platforms for potential security incidents.
- Triage security events and alerts to support swift incident response.
- Investigate security cases using logical thinking and analytical skills.
- Analyze TCP/IP network traffic and event logs for suspicious activity.
- Support automation of security solutions and improve detection mechanisms.
- Track emerging threats, vulnerabilities, exploits, and mitigation techniques.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a SOC environment, on a SIEM platform, or in security solution automation.
- Experience triaging security events; strong logical thinking and investigation skills.
- Good understanding of Windows and Unix operating systems, cloud security, network architecture, and common system design principles.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP traffic and event log analysis, cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, exploits, and mitigations.
- Experience with Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to work in a shift-based environment.
