Associate Manager – Risk & Compliance

supports the Risk and Compliance Manager in evaluating business operations to ensure their effectiveness, adequacy, and long-term sustainability.

The role also involves contributing to the development and enhancement of internal policies and procedures aimed at minimizing risk exposure.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Risk Management

  • Support the Risk and Compliance Manager in the development and execution of risk and compliance initiatives
  • Analyse retail data and contribute to the preparation of action plans aimed at minimizing losses
  • Oversee and monitor the effective use of the integrity hotline within the business

Risk And Compliance Investigation

  • Assist in conducting investigations related to fraud, including employee theft, ethical breaches, corruption, and policy violations, and recommend appropriate corrective actions

Risk Evaluation And Analysis

  • Identify potential risks and support the development of action plans to maintain safe and secure operational conditions
  • Analyse risk assessment outcomes and prepare reports for management review
  • Policies and Procedures
  • Support the review and updating of risk and compliance policies and procedures
  • Communicate policies effectively to stakeholders to ensure awareness and reduce risk exposure

Reporting

  • Assist in preparing risk and compliance reports for management
  • Maintain accurate databases and provide regular updates and reports
  • Support troubleshooting of risk and compliance system issues when required
  • Manage system requirements and ensure accurate data input and integrity

Human Capital Responsibilities

  • Proactively pursue professional development opportunities to enhance technical and leadership capabilities
  • Update training materials and support awareness initiatives related to risk and compliance
  • Deliver training sessions to employees on relevant policies and procedures
  • Adhere to corporate Human Capital policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Provide guidance, training, and feedback to team members when required
