Role description
Prepare resources and implement the annual audit plan based on risk assessment.
Reports to the Head of Internal Audit Department.
Audit duties
- Prepare audit proposals and working papers; independently review business processes, IT, HR and expense management, and financial markets against internal policies, procedures, and local regulatory requirements.
- Identify process gaps and discuss possible root causes with auditees.
- Prepare reports highlighting issues and recommendations, and distribute them to relevant departments and management.
- Follow up on rectification progress and implementation to ensure timely, satisfactory completion.
- Establish an audit risk model, monitor risk with data analysis tools, and develop audit procedures for work programs.
- Undertake other responsibilities assigned by the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of banking work experience is preferred, along with internal or external audit experience; banking, financial services, or IT project experience is preferred.
- CIA, CPA, or ACCA certification is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of data-analytical programming such as SQL or Python is an advantage.
- Good PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Independent, with strong analytical thinking and risk-control awareness; strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills and good teamwork.
Language
- Mandarin speaker.
