Associate Engineer – Mechanical / Electrical - Hiring UAE National

Role overview

Engineering and maintenance duties

• Support operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance; identify equipment faults and abnormalities during routine inspections.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning, and repair activities.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
• Coordinate work with senior engineers, technicians, contractors, and vendors; support spare-parts and material coordination.
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
• Help identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions; monitor equipment performance and escalate critical issues.
• Follow HSE requirements, technical standards, and company procedures.
• Support project execution, shutdown activities, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Good communication and coordination skills; familiarity with HSE and safe working practices.
• Relevant engineering, maintenance, or technical operations experience is preferred.
• UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
