Role overview

Audit responsibilities

• Audit LTIs, high-potential near misses, SOP/TRA compliance, fatality action plans, closed near-miss cases, and PTW quality and systems.
• Conduct first-party SOP/TRA audits and assess compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, UAE HSE regulations, ADOSH, Dubai Municipality, UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, and UAE OHSMS National Standard.
• Audit hazardous materials storage, handling, transportation, segregation, labelling, inventory, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
• Verify fire prevention, fire protection, emergency response, hazardous storage, and inspection requirements.
• Audit Process Safety Management, Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis, and critical risk controls; review serious incidents and corrective action plans.
• Prepare audit reports and recommendations, lead opening and closing meetings, coordinate with senior stakeholders, and track corrective actions.
• Use SAP, Power BI, MS Office, and safety data for evidence-based reporting and analysis.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field; NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification is mandatory; ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
• Five to seven or more years of HSE auditing, safety governance, or assurance experience, including governance-level audits in high-risk industries.
• Experience in process safety, serious incident reviews, PTW audits, SOP/TRA compliance, hazardous materials systems, and fire safety compliance.
• Strong understanding of UAE HSE regulatory frameworks.
• NEBOSH HSE Process Safety Management certificate, UAE-regulator-recognized HazMat Expert/Consultant license, CHMM, and CFPS are preferred.
