KPMG has operated in Qatar since 1977 and employs more than 350 professional staff and partners.

The Qatar practice provides Audit, Tax, and Advisory services, drawing on international expertise.

Deals Advisory

Deals Advisory supports clients throughout the deal lifecycle, including strategy, evaluation, execution, and value realization.

The team supports acquisitions, disposals, investments, restructuring, and value creation using commercial, financial, and operational perspectives.

The role leads higher-risk engagements and provides senior advice on due diligence, valuation, transaction strategy, execution, and value creation.

Primary responsibilities

  • Lead multiple Deals Advisory engagements or workstreams through teams and cross-functional specialists.
  • Advise on transaction strategy, due diligence, valuation, deal execution, restructuring, and value creation.
  • Review financial, commercial, and operational information; identify deal issues and recommend practical actions.
  • Lead negotiations and advise on transaction terms, risks, opportunities, and value implications.
  • Present findings to senior stakeholders to inform transaction and investment decisions.
  • Build strategic relationships with clients, investors, corporates, financial institutions, and market participants.
  • Identify opportunities and contribute to proposals, credentials, and thought leadership.
  • Monitor market, sector, transaction, competitor, product, and service developments.
  • Manage engagement scope, commercial performance, risk, resources, timelines, and quality.
  • Develop innovative repeatable solutions and build relationships across KPMG teams and its wider network.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues, identify development needs, and support their growth.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 12 years of relevant experience in Deals Advisory, transaction services, corporate finance, investment banking, valuation, restructuring, private equity, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • A relevant professional qualification or certification, such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent, is required.
  • Experience leading complex engagements and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Strong understanding of transactions, financial statements, valuation, deal processes, and commercial and financial value drivers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, communication, commercial, relationship-building, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage scope, teams, budgets, risks, multiple priorities, and transaction timelines; present findings to senior stakeholders; and develop professionals.
  • Interest in transaction activity, sector and regulatory developments, and opportunities in Qatar and the wider region.
