Applies basic design engineering principles and supports an Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects.
Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques to a small set of routine assignments.
Responsibilities
- Develop cost-competitive engineering techniques and cost-effective solutions for discipline work execution.
- Review vendor equipment documentation for project compliance and resolve discrepancies across disciplines.
- Participate in equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities.
- Follow industry codes and standards and department procedures.
- Analyze problems and make independent recommendations aligned with organizational or project objectives.
- Organize and prioritize multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines.
Basic requirements
- Accredited four-year engineering degree or global equivalent and two years of related experience.
- Engineer-in-Training achievement status accomplished.
- Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability, and cost of materials.
- Practical field experience and job-related technical knowledge.
- Effective communication, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Ability to learn and apply applicable statutes and guidelines.
- Intermediate word processing, email, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation software skills.
- A professional certification or registration may be needed if required for the applicable field; some locations may have additional or different qualifications.
