Position Summary
The Associate Software Engineer develops and maintains multi-tiered business applications as part of a team.
The role works with a mentor while learning relevant technologies and occasionally working independently.
The position contributes to application solutions across development platforms, software, hardware, technologies, and tools.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with senior team members on software analysis, design, documentation, design reviews, and product backlogs.
- Help build business applications, prepare technical specifications, and develop technical estimates and timeframes.
- Develop software for data transformation and migration across environments.
- Write automated tests for delivered code and participate in system testing and debugging.
- Support production implementation, post-production support, code reviews, mentoring, and maintenance documentation.
- Participate in training, experimentation, enterprise initiatives, and learning forums.
Skill and Experience
- At least 1 year of experience is required to perform the essential job functions.
- Object-oriented design, development, and implementation of business applications are required.
- Analytical, problem-solving, estimation, interpersonal, communication, accountability, and delivery-focused skills are required.
- Experience with large-scale business applications in a fast-paced iterative environment is optional.
- Learning relevant technologies including front-end tools, middleware, databases, ORMs, frameworks, design patterns, API design, test automation, DevOps, cloud architecture, and integration patterns is preferred.
Must Have Skills
- C#/.NET/ASP.NET fundamentals are required.
- React and TypeScript fundamentals are required.
- HTML/CSS/SCSS skills are required.
- Git and DevOps fundamentals are required.
Education and Certifications
- A four-year bachelor's degree is required.
