Assistant Structural BIM Modeller

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D underground transportation structure models using Revit Structure and other BIM tools.
• Assist with parametric, nested, and type catalogue-based Revit families.
• Check models for completeness, dimensional accuracy, and quality compliance.
• Follow BIM execution plans, modelling standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate design issues with structural engineering, architecture, and MEP teams.
• Support construction documentation and drawing extraction from BIM models.
• Contribute to BIM workflows and best practices; coordinate multidisciplinary models in Navisworks or similar tools.
• Support team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 1–5 years of industry experience focused on underground structures, bridges, or infrastructure projects.

Essential skills

• Good understanding of BIM processes, model-based delivery, and digital collaboration.
• Good 3D modelling skills and proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure.
• Attention to detail, quality focus, independent and team working, adaptability, time management, and communication skills.

Desirable skills

• Knowledge of ACC, Autodesk Forma model coordination, AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenBuildings Designer, or Tekla is desirable.
• Knowledge of Navisworks Manage or similar coordination and review tools is desirable.
• International project and standards experience is desirable; EngTech MICE or working toward it is an advantage.
