Role overview

Sales and guest support

• Use sales techniques, including upselling, to maximize revenue and maintain guest loyalty.
• Resolve guest calls and requests with appropriate departments; answer, record, and process guest questions and concerns.
• Provide guest complimentary items or rewards and process requests to redeem Marriott Rewards points.
• Promote brand awareness internally and externally.

Reservations and administration

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Enter Marriott Rewards information into the appropriate software when taking reservations.
• Perform Sales and Marketing office duties such as filing, emailing, typing, and faxing.

Team support and standards

• Assist management with training and motivating employees, serve as a role model, and monitor performance against quality standards.
• Welcome guests, address service needs, communicate professionally, and maintain positive working relationships.
• Follow company policies and quality standards; maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection; perform reasonable assigned duties.
• Role may involve reading and visually verifying information and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• At least two years of related work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience or license or certification is listed as necessary.
