Supervise and coordinate construction activities on TAQA infrastructure and substation projects in Abu Dhabi.
The role focuses on site supervision, inspections, quality assurance, HSE coordination, and contractor management.
Work location
- Work location is Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Key accountabilities
- Supervise daily construction for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and TAQA standards.
- Monitor contractor performance, progress, schedules, and quality.
- Conduct site inspections and coordinate inspection requests.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and other technical submissions.
- Coordinate QA/QC and resolve documented non-conformities.
- Monitor HSE compliance and coordinate with site personnel.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and authorities to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain site records, inspection and progress reports, and project documentation.
- Escalate construction challenges and support timely resolution to minimize delays and rework.
- Ensure work complies with TAQA-T and/or TAQA-D requirements and authority procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering relevant to the project discipline.
- Previous TAQA approval as Assistant Resident Engineer is mandatory.
- Proven experience in TAQA-T and/or TAQA-D projects.
- Experience in site supervision, construction inspections, QA/QC, HSE coordination, and contractor management.
- Ability to review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and inspection requests.
- Familiarity with TAQA standards, authority requirements, and project documentation.
- Strong communication, reporting, and site coordination skills.
- Previous experience with engineering consultancy firms in Abu Dhabi.
