Student Feedback

  • Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Using appropriate technological resources to collect, store, analyse and report on student feedback
  • Effective liaison with student representatives and members of staff
  • Keeping formal minutes of meeting; circulating and following up on actions arising from meetings
  • Preparing regular and ad hoc reports on student feedback processes and outcomes.
  • Assisting the Institutional Planning and Quality Office in administration of the University’s student feedback systems (Programme Voice Groups, Programme Progress Review, Module Feedback Surveys, Middlesex Student Survey, Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey, etc.)

Reporting

  • Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Preparing accurate and relevant information for internal and external reporting (regular and ad hoc)
  • Supporting the Quality Manager in preparing periodic submissions for KHDA and MoHESR for approval of new provision and renewal of existing academic programmes offered. This will involves conducting related market evaluation studies and getting feedback from industry partners and other relevant stakeholders
  • Completing reports and documentation required by University level committees (such as MDX Academic Board, Faculty Quality Committee, Quality Committee and so on)
  • Tracking and analysing trends; and monitoring continuous improvements in relation to non-financial metrics and supporting the development of Educational Monitoring and Enhancement (EME) reports at departmental level and the campus-wide report.
  • Supporting a range of strategic and operational plans and compiling progress reports.

General Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively and regularly with faculty members, students, central services and Student Offices in Dubai and London
  • Promoting and maintaining safety in the work place
  • Participate in and contribute to the work of various project groups and quality improvement teams, as required
  • Participate in relevant staff development activities and develop new skills and competencies to meet the changing needs of the service; assist in the training and mentoring of new staff
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as requested by University management

Qualifications Required

  • Relevant degree qualification
  • Related and appropriate practical experience in a University environment.

Disposition

The post holder will need to be calm and effective in dealing with staff and students of the University and efficient in dealings with external parties.

The post holder will need to be able to convey confidence and positiveness to members of the public, staff and students.

Essential

  • A recognised undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline
  • A high level of writing skills and presentation skills for formal reporting documentation
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (MSExcel), databases (MS Access), presentation software (MSPowerpoint), and statistical programs (SPSS)
  • Demonstrated ability to administer surveys, and apply appropriate research methods
  • Excellent teamwork and human relations skills
  • Strong administrative skills with an emphasis on attention to detail, process efficiency and thoroughness in completing the work
  • Able to work with confidential material with thorough discretion
  • Proven ability in successful project management in a deadline driven environment, through multi-tasking, and prioritizing
  • Desirable:
  • Knowledge of/experience with application of/ or training in comprehensive quality management systems, e.g. ISO, EFQM
  • Previous experience in a University or College quality assurance environment will be desirable.
