Role overview

Guest operations and cashiering

• Process guest check-ins, verify identity and payment, assign rooms, issue keys, and create guest accounts.
• Verify rates and billing, enter Marriott Rewards information, and document exceptions.
• Compile daily reports, logs, and contingency lists; complete cashier and closing reports.
• Handle guest requests, give directions and property information, and follow up on requests.
• Process payments and charges, balance receipts, secure the bank, and follow accounting procedures.
• Report guest theft concerns to Loss Prevention or Security.

Team, service, and safety

• Assist management with employee training, evaluation, counseling, motivation, and coaching; serve as a role model and first contact for the open-door process.
• Support team goals, maintain positive working relationships, and respond to employee concerns.
• Follow company and safety policies, report unsafe conditions and injuries, complete safety training, and protect company assets and confidential information.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, communicate professionally, answer phones, and prepare accurate written documents.
• Use computers and POS systems; duties include extended standing or walking and handling items up to 10 pounds.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• No license or certification is specified.
