Role overview

Contract and legal responsibilities

• Review services contracts, MSAs, GMSAs, consortium and joint-venture agreements, NDAs and tender documents; identify legal and business risks.
• Draft and negotiate contract terms and advise the business on contractual rights and obligations; lead negotiations and oversee legal implications of critical engagements.
• Standardize engagement documents and contracts, revise policies, track internal policy updates and update standard templates.
• Develop contractual formats such as MOUs, joint-venture and consortium agreements, and MSAs; recommend agreement improvements.
• Support internal quality, risk and compliance matters; train practice team members and new joiners on contractual and compliance issues.
• Monitor relevant contract-law developments, including court decisions and arbitration-law amendments; help prepare briefs for lawyers and take on assigned projects.

Required qualifications and skills

• Bachelor of Law (LLB).
• Around five years of experience.
• Knowledge of fundamental subjects in Indian law and ability to interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations.
• Analytical judgment, fact analysis and logical reasoning.
• Effective verbal and written communication, including drafting legal clauses and contracts, reports and correspondence.
