Organizational Unit Purpose
The Consumer Risk unit is responsible for evaluating and approving retail home finance applications that exceed delegated authority, ensuring all credit decisions comply with the Bank’s lending policies, regulatory requirements, Sharia principles, and risk standards while delivering timely, high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
- Assess and approve Retail Home Finance applications within delegated authority while ensuring sound credit judgment
- Review remedial and exception cases, ensuring decisions are delivered within agreed turnaround times (TAT).
- Monitor portfolio quality, productivity, and operational performance through regular MIS reporting and continuous process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, audit recommendations, and risk control standards.
- Support the Senior Manager in managing escalations, resolving customer and operational issues, and coaching team members to enhance performance.
Main Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Retail Credit, Home Finance, or Consumer Lending.
- Strong knowledge of credit analysis, financial assessment, lending policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and Microsoft Office skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and proficiency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
