Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Support the Bar Manager with day-to-day bar operations and lead, coach, and motivate the bar team.
• Maintain beverage quality, cocktail preparation, presentation, and service standards while creating a welcoming guest atmosphere.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance development.
• Monitor stock, wastage, ordering, and beverage costs; ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and licensing requirements.
• Handle guest feedback, support menu development and promotions, drive revenue through upselling, and coordinate with hotel departments.

Qualifications and experience

• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a busy bar, restaurant, or hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and contemporary beverage trends.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and guest-service skills; creative, confident, and hands-on approach.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail; positive attitude and passion for hospitality.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Relevant hospitality qualifications are an advantage.
