Assists the Director of Security with daily security operations and protection of property assets, employees, and guests.
Maintains logs, certifications, and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures.
Education and experience
- High school diploma or GED plus 3 years of security, loss prevention, or related experience; alternatively, a two-year degree in Criminal Justice or a related major plus 1 year of relevant experience.
Security operations
- Assist with emergency procedures, investigate property losses, recommend follow-up actions for security breaches, and deploy security staff.
- Conduct property and parking-area patrols; maintain patrol reports and documentation; inspect security equipment.
- Identify physical hazards and unsafe practices, implement risk-control plans, and comply with corporate and local security requirements.
- Document employee accidents and liability incidents, support claims management, and help obtain timely medical attention.
- Maintain first aid and CPR certifications required for Security officers.
Team leadership and service
- Guide, coach, train, and evaluate security staff; set performance standards and complete disciplinary procedures.
- Communicate safety procedures, resolve guest complaints and conflicts, and support guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and Event Sales for VIP escorts and media control at large events.
- Keep relevant stakeholders informed and bring employee issues to Human Resources as needed.
