The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and results-driven Assistant Laundry Manager to join one of Doha’s most dynamic hospitality destinations.

This is a leadership role for a highly organized professional with a strong operational background, a passion for excellence, and the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

As part of the Housekeeping leadership team at The Ned Doha, you will oversee the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and service are consistently achieved.

You will support the Laundry Manager in driving departmental performance, managing resources effectively, and delivering exceptional service standards that contribute to an outstanding guest experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in leading and managing all laundry operations, ensuring seamless day-to-day performance
  • Drive departmental productivity while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Oversee the processing of hotel linens, uniforms, guest laundry, and specialty items in accordance with brand standards
  • Manage, coach, and develop the laundry team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and succession planning initiatives
  • Monitor departmental KPIs, productivity reports, and quality control measures to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure proper maintenance and optimal utilization of laundry equipment and facilities
  • Manage inventory levels, chemical usage, and operating supplies while controlling costs and minimizing waste
  • Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Rooms Division, and other departments to ensure operational excellence and service delivery
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial performance management
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations
  • Lead by example in delivering Forbes Five-Star service standards and operational excellence

About You

  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience within a luxury hotel laundry operation is essential
  • Strong understanding of commercial laundry operations, fabric care, textile management, and laundry technologies
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams
  • Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and performance management
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management systems
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction
  • A proactive, hands-on leader with a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement
