Assistant IT Manager(Hotel Industry Experience)

Role overview

IT operations and systems

• Assist with daily IT operations and hotel technology systems.
• Maintain Opera PMS, POS, and other hospitality applications.
• Manage servers, network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, email, and connectivity issues.
• Support telephony, CCTV, access control, IPTV, and guest Wi-Fi.

Support and administration

• Provide technical support to Front Office, Housekeeping, Finance, Sales, HR, and Food & Beverage departments.
• Monitor backups, antivirus, cybersecurity, and data protection.
• Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers on maintenance and technical issues.
• Assist with budgeting, inventory management, purchasing, and software licensing.
• Maintain IT documentation, procedures, and incident reports.

Projects and compliance

• Support hotel openings, system upgrades, and new technology implementations.
• Ensure compliance with hotel IT policies and information security standards.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of IT experience; hotel or hospitality experience is preferred, and hotel IT department experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS, POS systems, hotel operational systems, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, networking, and IT security.
• Experience supporting hotel departments and guest-facing technology.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work shifts and weekends and respond to urgent IT issues when required.
