Role details

Recruitment and employee development

• Support interviewing and hiring HR team members, maintain external recruitment contacts, attend job fairs, and document outreach.
• Network with local organizations to source candidates; monitor candidate identification and selection and perform quality control.
• Coordinate and facilitate new-hire orientation and training, support cross-training, and ensure new hires and leaders participate in training programs.
• Maintain employee communications and support regularly scheduled property-wide meetings.

Employee relations and compliance

• Review unemployment-provider reports and claims for accuracy, correct errors, prepare activity reports, and attend hearings as needed.
• Review progressive-discipline documentation, address employee concerns through the open-door policy, and refer or escalate issues to the appropriate HR leader.
• Partner with Loss Prevention on employee accident investigations and communicate performance expectations.
• Maintain complete and secure employee files and comply with records-access, review, audit, privacy, and confidential medical-record procedures.
• Facilitate applicable drug-testing processes and communicate property rules and safety and security policies to employees.
• Review claims with the Regional Claims office and manage Workers' Compensation claims to support timely resolution, employee care, and cost management.

Education and experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• Five years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related professional area.
