Housekeeping operations and leadership
- Oversee cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas; inspect assigned areas and ensure corrective action.
- Plan daily assignments and staffing according to occupancy and operational requirements.
- Coordinate room readiness, arrivals, departures and special guest requirements with Front Office; coordinate maintenance follow-up with Engineering.
- Resolve housekeeping-related guest requests and concerns with timely follow-up.
- Supervise, coach and develop housekeeping teams; support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance reviews.
- Manage rosters, attendance and leave planning; monitor linen, uniforms, amenities, supplies and equipment.
- Support inventory, purchasing requests and departmental budget control; oversee deep cleaning and safe use of chemicals and equipment.
- Ensure health, safety, hygiene, Lost and Found, key-control and privacy procedures; promote responsible use of resources.
- Maintain inspection records, reports and shift handovers; support briefings and take charge when the Executive Housekeeper is absent.
Qualifications
- Previous Assistant Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor experience in an upscale or luxury hotel.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, linen management and cleaning standards.
- Able to lead, train and motivate a multicultural team; strong organization, planning, problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Good written and spoken English; committed to guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Hospitality management diploma or qualification is an advantage.
- Must be flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
