Support the Director of Engineering in overseeing hotel engineering operations, with a focus on safe, efficient maintenance and guest comfort.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily hotel engineering and maintenance operations and coordinate the engineering team.
- Maintain facilities, equipment, and systems in safe and excellent working condition; monitor preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and carpentry issues.
- Ensure compliance with hotel standards, health and safety requirements, and local regulations.
- Plan and control engineering supplies, spare parts, tools, and equipment while minimizing waste.
- Support energy-saving and environmental initiatives and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with hotel departments, contractors, suppliers, guests, and authorities.
- Support engineering projects, inspections, reports, and team performance.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field; vocational training or equivalent experience may be considered.
- Previous experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field.
- Proven experience supervising or leading an engineering or maintenance team.
- Technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and carpentry systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and hotel engineering operations.
