Role overview
Supports commercial activities in HS2 delivery teams, working with the supply chain and contractors to assure and support commercial work.
Pre-contract and procurement
- Support development of commercial works information, review information from other functions, and draft contract documents.
- Support development of a contract management plan.
Post-contract activities
- Support contract management to maintain effective commercial control and administer Project Manager obligations under the NEC3 Contract.
- Support assessment of variations, compensation events, and contract payments.
- Review monthly supply-chain reports and provide contract-level performance information for monthly MBR reports.
- Support supply-chain dispute settlement and estimate reviews at all stages.
Skills and experience
- Ability to administer contracts for infrastructure or similar capital projects and programmes.
- Understanding of dispute resolution processes and procedures and common commercial policies, processes, and procedures.
- Knowledge of contract, commercial, and risk management methods.
Conduct and inclusion
