Stewarding operations
- Supervise and coordinate stewarding personnel while participating in shift activities.
- Ensure serviceware, pots, and pans are properly washed, dried, and stored; maintain clean work areas and cleaning equipment.
- Prepare banquet inventory lists and recheck inventory after functions; keep stewarding storerooms neat and tidy.
- Ensure chemicals and detergents meet required specifications and staff handle equipment properly to minimize breakage and service disruption.
Safety, records, and team
- Report kitchen maintenance defects to Engineering through maintenance requests and ensure safety signs are placed during cleaning.
- Maintain shift logbooks and record breakage; follow cleaning schedules and maintain required standards.
- Maintain grooming and uniform standards and build effective employee relations, supporting staff welfare, safety, development, and motivation.
- Carry out reasonable duties requested by the Head of Culinary.
Requirements
- Able to supervise and coordinate stewarding personnel and participate in shift activities.
- Able to maintain required cleanliness, storage, and operating standards for serviceware and work areas.
- Able to follow chemical-use, cleaning, and workplace safety procedures.
- Able to support employee relations and staff welfare, safety, development, and motivation.
- Willing to carry out reasonable duties requested by the Head of Culinary.
