Seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join the team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions; handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Perform bank, account, customer, and supplier reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports; monitor cash flow, receivables, and payables.
- Assist with VAT accounting, filings, and compliance; coordinate with auditors and provide supporting records.
- Maintain accounting documentation and support management with financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable UAE requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems and good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous UAE/GCC accounting experience and knowledge of UAE VAT and compliance requirements are preferred.
- Experience with Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar accounting/ERP systems is preferred.
- Experience in waste management, environmental services, logistics, or the industrial sector is advantageous.
Compensation
- Starting salary is AED 2,500 per month; salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
- The listed pay range is AED 2,500–3,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
