Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger and journal entries, reconciliations, and daily accounting operations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, vendor payments, and collections.
- Track raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, and reconcile inventory accounts.
- Allocate overheads, calculate cost of goods sold, and analyze manufacturing variances.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist with budgets and forecasts and analyze actual-versus-budget variances.
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records, reconcile capital works in progress, and manage petty cash and imprest.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, UAE regulations, and tax laws.
- Support audits with documentation and schedules; coordinate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams.
- Maintain financial transaction controls, monitor cash flows, and perform bank reconciliations.
- Provide accounting support for Oman, Qatar, and KSA as directed by the Reporting Manager.
- Apply working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements and related accounting implications; working knowledge of trade finance facilities, including LCs and bank guarantees, is also noted.
Experience and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce.
- One year of experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax is required.
- Two to three years of experience is preferred.
- Trade finance facilities experience is preferred.
- Tally and ODOO experience are advantageous.
Pay
- Pay is AED 3,000–4,000 per month.
