Asset Control Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Own the Group Asset Register and maintain accurate asset identification, classification, location, and custodian assignments.
• Set asset tagging standards and manage asset onboarding, acceptance, tagging, and deployment controls.
• Establish custody and movement processes for transfers between and within sites.
• Plan physical verification, cycle counts, and full counts; investigate variances and exceptions, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Govern disposals, write-offs, and retirements; maintain controlled handover, movement, return, incident, and disposal records.
• Produce dashboards and reports covering assets, movements, verification, variances, compliance, and risks.
• Maintain SOPs, templates, RACI matrices, and control procedures; drive compliance with training, coaching, spot checks, and corrective actions.
• Support audits with reconciliations, evidence packs, and management responses; coordinate with Procurement and Finance on PR/PO/GRN processes, capitalization, classification, and register alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Asset Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in asset control, fixed asset management, asset management, inventory control, or a similar function.
• Strong understanding of asset registers, tagging, physical verification, movement controls, disposals, and reconciliation.
• Experience developing and implementing SOPs, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, asset management systems, SharePoint/EDMS, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting internal or external audits and compliance reviews is highly desirable.
