Role overview

Sales and customer relationships

• Develop customer relationships and understand business needs to recommend improvement and innovation plans.
• Execute sales plans for existing and new accounts to meet territory profit goals.
• Monitor competition, market share, and pricing in the assigned area.
• Sell and support Nalco Water technologies and innovations and identify unmet customer needs.
• Support district pricing, service models, efficiencies, product profitability, retention, and prospecting.

Technical support and team leadership

• Provide technical customer support, resolve complaints, and escalate issues when needed.
• Analyze customer systems, interpret data, and provide written recommendations to optimize operations.
• Maintain field chemical inventories and equipment as needed and prepare required customer and internal reports.
• Mentor, coach, and train District Representatives and collaborate on cross-functional projects.

Territory and travel

• Candidate must reside in Saudi Eastern Province.
• Route territory includes East, Yanbu, and Riyadh.
• The role requires travel within the geographic territory and overnight business travel.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Five years of successful technical sales or field sales management experience.
• Ability to travel within a geographic territory and overnight for business.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.

Preferred qualifications

• Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a degree in Life Sciences.
• Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience; water treatment experience is preferred.
• Previous connections in the Saudi Water Authority or government water-production projects.
• Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems.
• Computer application literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems.
• Autonomy, self-motivation, communication and organizational skills, multitasking, and account leadership experience.
