Parsons seeks an Architect Engineer to perform architectural or interior design assignments under the general direction of a licensed Architect.
The role produces drawings and models from compiled project data, specifications, and sketches, applying design standards, practices, and company procedures.
What you'll do
- Produce CAD/BIM drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards for design tasks in line with standards and client requirements.
- Use technical manuals to ensure compliance with required codes and standards.
- Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations for drawings and design layouts.
- Produce drawings and specifications that have been red-lined by others.
- Research and develop design and product solutions and present them for consideration.
- Inspect architectural or interior design features on project sites and record conditions.
- Coordinate with project team members to set goals and meet shared deadlines.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited university.
- At least five years of large-scale project experience, including overall responsibility for architectural engineering on large-scale projects.
- Knowledge of architectural or interior design, production techniques, codes and standards, building materials, and construction methods.
- Expertise gained working for reputed firms; knowledge of specialty precedents and related engineering design methods and systems.
- Knowledge of the building industry, regulatory standards, and architectural design criteria.
- Excellent written and verbal Arabic and English; demonstrated leadership skills.
- Knowledge of international procedures, design guides, automated and administrative practices, and coordination of 2D and 3D CAD tools on projects.
