Architect Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the consultant office and its architectural/engineering team.
• Oversee architectural design, technical documentation, and project coordination.
• Manage Municipality submissions, approvals, permits, and correspondence; follow up on Royal Commission requirements and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi building codes, regulations, standards, and authority requirements.
• Review drawings, specifications, reports, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and government authorities; represent the office at technical meetings.
• Monitor project progress, deliverables, and quality; identify design, approval, and construction issues and coordinate solutions.
• Supervise technical staff and ensure authority submissions are complete, accurate, and timely.
• Support project and senior management with technical and regulatory advice.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional architectural/engineering consultancy experience; Saudi experience is preferred.
• Proven experience with Saudi Municipality procedures and approvals and Royal Commission procedures, requirements, and approvals.
• Previous leadership or senior consultant-office management experience.
• Strong understanding of Saudi construction regulations and approval processes.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, technical documentation, specifications, and project coordination.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills; professional representation of the office.
• AutoCAD, Revit, or relevant software proficiency is preferred.
• Good command of English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
