The Cloud Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and governing enterprise cloud solutions across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. The role ensures cloud platforms are secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective while aligning technology strategy with business objectives. The Cloud Architect provides technical leadership for cloud adoption, modernization, migration, DevOps, security, and operational excellence initiatives.

Define enterprise cloud architecture and technology roadmap.

Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Establish architecture standards, governance frameworks, and cloud best practices.

Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.

Lead application, data, and infrastructure migration initiatives.

Assess existing environments and recommend modernization strategies.

Drive containerization and microservices adoption using Kubernetes and Docker.

Support cloud-native application development and platform engineering.

Design cloud security architecture aligned with enterprise security policies.

Implement identity and access management, encryption, network security, and compliance controls.

Ensure adherence to industry regulations and governance standards.

Define Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep.

Enable CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks.

Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.

Monitor cloud resource utilization and optimize infrastructure costs.

Ensure solutions meet performance, availability, scalability, and disaster recovery requirements.

Establish cloud monitoring, logging, and observability standards.

Provide guidance to development, operations, and engineering teams.

Conduct architecture reviews and approve technical designs.

Mentor cloud engineers, DevOps engineers, and solution architects.

Engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce technical specifications, solution design documents, and executive-level presentations.

Ability to translate business, operational, security, and compliance requirements into actionable technical architecture and delivery plans.

Experience facilitating workshops with business, technical, security, and operational stakeholders.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills for cloud, data, and enterprise technology engagements.

Ability to mentor engineering teams and enable knowledge transfer through documentation, workshops, and solution design reviews.
