Role summary

Duties and responsibilities

• Work with business customers and technical teams; contribute to testing strategy and confirm functionality supports business processes.
• Write clean, efficient, documented code, including COTS configurations when applicable, and collaborate to improve product functionality.
• Conduct code reviews and quality assurance, practice ITIL processes, and keep current with application releases and relevant technology.
• Author knowledge-sharing documentation and participate in or lead application tasks across multiple medium-level projects.
• Apply application patches or coordinate with teams to address known vulnerabilities in the application stack.
• Resolve technical problems, communicate issues, and organize effective team interactions, collaboration, and meetings.

Required qualifications

• At least two years of direct work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree, certification, or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree or certification.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and work remotely, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and business needs.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance if required.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function.

Valued skills and knowledge

• Valued language and application experience includes SQL, Python, HTML, Java, and GitLab.
• Manufacturing, government, and DOE industry knowledge is valued.
• Initiative in maintaining technical currency through outside study and training is valued.
