Role overview

Responsibilities

• Process building permits and related licenses from initial application through approval and issuance.
• Prepare, review, and submit drawings and documents for compliance with municipal requirements, building codes, and regulations.
• Follow up with Jeddah Municipality, municipalities, and related authorities; resolve comments through closure.
• Coordinate drawing and requirement revisions with engineers, architects, and clients.
• Manage multiple projects and applications while maintaining timely progress.
• Track permit-related regulatory updates and maintain records of permits, approvals, and comments.
• Perform AOR drawing reviews and verify compliance with applicable codes, local requirements, and regulations.
• Coordinate engineering disciplines to align designs and drawings within the technical scope.

Qualifications and experience

• Strong experience issuing building permits in Jeddah and handling related municipal processes.
• Prior experience at an engineering consultancy or office, including dealings with Jeddah Municipality, municipalities, and government platforms.
• Experience reviewing engineering and architectural drawings; knowledge of building codes and municipal regulations.
• Practical understanding of Architect / Engineer of Record responsibilities.
• A bachelor's degree in architecture is preferred, or a suitable engineering specialization.
• Current Saudi Council of Engineers professional classification is preferred.

• Effective follow-up, fast execution, technical problem solving, and management of multiple projects and applications.
• Strong communication and coordination; accuracy, responsibility, and ability to work under pressure.

Compensation

• Monthly salary: SAR 8,000.
