The role seeks an Architect / Engineer of Record with strong experience issuing building permits and following up on applications and plans with Jeddah Municipality and local municipalities.
The successful candidate will manage multiple projects, deliver work quickly, and understand AOR responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and follow up on building permits and related licenses from application through approval and issuance.
- Prepare, review, and submit plans and documents for compliance with municipal requirements, building codes, and regulations.
- Follow up with Jeddah Municipality, municipalities, and relevant authorities and resolve comments through closure.
- Coordinate plan revisions and requirements with engineers, architects, and clients.
- Manage multiple projects and transactions, track regulatory updates, and maintain project permit and approval records.
- Review plans for AOR compliance and coordinate across engineering disciplines to align designs.
Qualifications and experience
- Strong experience issuing building permits in Jeddah and dealing with Jeddah Municipality, municipalities, and relevant government platforms.
- Previous experience in an engineering consultancy or office; experience reading and reviewing engineering and architectural plans.
- Familiarity with the Saudi Building Code, municipal regulations, and practical AOR responsibilities.
- A bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering is preferred, or a suitable engineering specialization.
- A current Saudi Council of Engineers professional classification is preferred.
Skills
- Strong follow-up and delivery speed; able to resolve technical comments and obstacles.
- Able to manage multiple projects and transactions, communicate and coordinate effectively, and work accurately under pressure.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
Compensation
- Salary is SAR 8,000 per month.
