Position Summary

Responsibilities

• **Annotation Tasks:**
• Perform annotation and labelling of data (time-series, images, videos, text) using tools such as CVAT, Label Studio, or in-house platforms, according to project guidelines and instructions.
• **Task Management:**
• Track progress across multiple projects, identify issues, and suggest improvements to optimise the annotation process.
• **Quality Assurance:**
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of annotated data by following established guidelines and standards.
• **Dataset Preparation:**
• Assist in preparing annotated datasets for model training by organising and cleaning labelled data.
• **Training Programmes:**
• Participate in training programmes and annotation workshops to understand requirements clearly.
• **Collaboration:**
• Work closely with subject-matter experts (SMEs), data scientists, ML engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality annotated datasets.
• **Documentation:**
• Maintain detailed records of annotation processes and provide feedback to improve labelling guidelines, QC processes, and tool configurations.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent), or equivalent professional experience.
• 2 – 5 years of relevant experience.
• Good understanding of data types and annotation types (bounding boxes, polygons, segmentation, keypoints); basic understanding of AI/ML workflows is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with annotation platforms such as Label Studio, CVAT, Labelbox, or Supervisely.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to new tools.
• Basic Excel / reporting skills; familiarity with Python to automate repetitive tasks is a plus.
