Team and role

The analyst joins the Investment Data Architecture team within the middle office, which enables better use of investment data.

The team supports the Modern Data Platform, sets standards and governance for trusted data products, and owns the Investment Data Management platform.

The platform includes security master, pricing master, and market reference data.

Work arrangement

  • The company currently operates a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week.

What you will do

  • Document current investment data processes end to end and design future-state processes.
  • Translate investment teams’ timeliness and quality needs into process requirements and prioritize improvements.
  • Reduce manual effort and improve data quality and timeliness across security master, pricing master, and ETL processes.
  • Partner with technology to automate workflows and scheduled processes and support testing and implementation.
  • Assess and escalate process risks; implement appropriate controls, checks, and exception monitoring.
  • Create process maps, RACI matrices, procedures, runbooks, and best-practice guides.
  • Track process metrics and support service levels for investment teams.
  • Roll out new processes, support user adoption, and contribute to platform transitions and affiliate or client onboarding.

What you bring

  • Degree in business, finance, information systems, or a related analytical field.
  • At least three years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, investment operations, or investment data management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to assess risk and escalate, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear communication with technical and business audiences, collaboration, and ability to build alignment.

Preferred experience and assets

  • Asset-management or financial-services experience is strongly preferred; security, pricing, reference-data, or quantitative investment team exposure is a plus.
  • Lean or Six Sigma training, progress toward CFA or FRM, and process modeling tools such as Engage Process Modeler or Visio are assets.
  • Workflow automation, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, AI tools, SQL, and Python familiarity are assets or pluses.

Compensation

  • Expected base salary range is CAD 85,000 to CAD 120,000; the source does not specify a pay cadence.
  • The midpoint is the general market target for a fully qualified and experienced candidate; starting salary may vary with relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.

What the company offers

  • The company describes flexible work practices, development and learning budgets, paid study days, professional designation support, retirement savings support, wellness credits, enhanced parental leave, and health benefits.
