AMC - AV Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of AV systems; attend service calls and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Configure, test, commission, and maintain AV equipment and systems; conduct system health checks and preventive maintenance visits.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in projectors, displays, video walls, digital signage, audio systems, amplifiers, DSP platforms, microphones, and conferencing systems.
• Troubleshoot Crestron, Extron, and AMX control systems, matrix switchers, AV distribution, HDMI, SDI, IP-based AV systems, motorized screens, and peripherals.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and technical support teams when required.
• Support system upgrades, modifications, and small AV project works.
• Complete AMC activities according to agreed service levels and provide high-quality customer support.
• Maintain client relationships and travel to client sites across the UAE as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, Audio Visual Technology, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of hands-on AV installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning experience.
• Previous experience on AMC or maintenance contracts is highly preferred.
• Strong professional AV systems and signal-flow knowledge, including DSPs, amplifiers, microphones, projectors, displays, video walls, and conferencing systems.
• Knowledge of AV control systems and signal routing; ability to read AV drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP, PoE, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.
• Crestron, Extron, AMX, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Bose, JBL, Sennheiser, and Dante platform experience is preferred.
• AV manufacturer or industry certifications are advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities, good communication and customer-service skills, and ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours during critical maintenance activities.
• UAE driving license is mandatory.
