Overview
- The purpose of this role is to provide excellent customer service to Airlines and other key stakeholders by ensuring the airside environment is safe and serviceable. The AOO will be part of the 24 hours Airside Operations Team and will be responsible for supporting the DMA in maintaining the aerodrome safety and standards in accordance with the Aerodrome Certificate issued by the GCAA and other legislation and regulations that are currently in force. The AOO will also be responsible for providing the required response to any emergency is met in accordance with the Airport Emergency Plan The job holder must have exceptional communication skills to effectively communicate with all customers and stakeholders, senior management, government agencies, emergency services to ensure that the operational plans and activities are executed efficiently and effectively
- To comply at all times with all company issued management system, policies, Standard Operating Procedures and processes including those addressing the requirements of regulators, certification bodies including and the Abu Dhabi Environment Health and Safety Management System
- Assist senior officer to ensure the aerodrome is operating in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct effective movement area inspections to ensure a safe working environment. Record all events as per the requirements
- Conduct wildlife inspection as per the wildlife hazard management plan.
- Ensure strict safety enforcement in Airside shall comply by all airside users.
- Deliver the Airside operations team’s daily activities and ensure that all events are recorded appropriately in the duty log at the end of each shift.
- Ensure excellent communications are established with customers and other stakeholders to deliver the service required both in normal operations and in emergency or contingency situations.
- Deliver against the team objectives and individual performance targets
- Oversee any contractors work on the airfield and ensure that any WIP is undertaken in accordance with the work permit and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all key elements which form part of the safety management system are integrated into their daily activities.
- Ensure that at the start of each shift, receive a briefing takes place and that any learning from previous activities is incorporated in a “plan, do, check review” process
- Respond to all incident and accident in aerodrome and report these events in accordance with standard procedures.
- Provide escort of police vehicles, VIP vehicles, ambulances and contractors as required.
- Provide follow me services for the aircraft when needed
- Participate for all emergencies of airport in line with ADIA emergency plan.
- Obtain the required training and familiarization in order to meet the business requirements and to maintain aerodrome certificate valid
- Work collaboratively with all Stakeholders
- Carry out any other assignments as directed by the airside operations
- Responsible for maintaining airside safety and operational compliance through aerodrome inspections, airside enforcement, FOD control, wildlife hazard management, and oversight of aircraft turnaround activities.
- The role supports incident investigation, adverse weather operations, disabled aircraft recovery, and monitoring of third-party service providers to ensure adherence to regulatory and operational standards.
- Additionally, the position requires maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify solutions, manage risks, and support safe and efficient airport operations.

- Proficient in effective communication through spoken, written, and reading skills in the English language
- Demonstrates a strong command of computer literacy, including proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Holds a valid UAE Driving License, showcasing the ability to travel and fulfil job requirements.
- Exhibits a heightened sense of responsibility, ensuring reliable and consistent performance in assigned tasks.
